"Ocean Ave, Belmar"

Oil on canvas. 2010. This big beautiful home is in my home town of Belmar, NJ. In all my house portraits, I strive to depict not only the home but the atmosphere it resides in. In some way, I like to tell a little story where the house is the main character on a stage. In this example I wanted the home to look like a warm escape from the formidable passing snow storm.
