"Train Bridge, Belmar NJ"
Acrylic on panel. This is the next painting derived from a series of pictures I took on the first snowy day of the winter here in Belmar, NJ. This is the train bridge that spans the Shark River, next the the Rt. 35 bridge. I liked the complexity of the architecture and the grandiose scale of the bridge next to it. I experimented with a Liquitex "glass beads" medium. the tiny beads are perfect for adding a snow-like texture to a painting. Im not sure if they are all that necessary, but it was fun to experiment. If you look closely in the background you can see the two backhoes from "Silent Machines".
