Oil on canvas. Sandy Hook is filled with long-dead trees. They are bleached white by the sun and really contrast with the lush vegitation. They also retain their original shape, shapes that sometimes seem totally out of place. They remind me of lost souls, frozen in their struggle to overcome gravity's relentless pull.
