"Fallen Tree"

Oil on canvas. Another another piece derived from my travels in Sandy Hook, NJ. This is yet another tree claimed by erosion and time. I noticed some color differences in the tree branches and decided to run with that idea. Despite being totally up-rooted, the tree was still sprouting new branches with leaves, striving to survive. A powerful notion of life's ability to "find a way".
