"Barcelo Palace, Mayan Riviera, Mexico"
Oil on canvas. This is a wedding gift I made for my brother Doug and his new wife Erica. It is based on a photo I took during their week long destination wedding in the Mayan Riviera in Mexico, which I was lucky enough to attend. You can see part of the immense resort on the left surrounded by these great tropical plants. The rocks and sand were pure white. The ocean is visible on the far right hand side of the horizon. I have never seen water that blue before. First a light cerulean, than further out, pure cobalt. This is the first in a series I will be working on based on my week in Mexico. Congrats Doug and Erica!
