"Just a peek"

Oil on canvas, 2010. For this piece I wanted to use the paint to build up a surface that resembled a calm low tide swirling around the tops of some semi-submerged boulders. The water needed to be translucent, and at the same time, reflective of the sky. The painting was done entirely with a palette knife.
