"Me as Van Gogh"
Oil on canvas. This is me as Van Gogh, painted in the style of Van Gogh. It is part of a series I am doing focusing on placing myself in the shoes of some of the artist who have influenced me as a painter and human being. As artist we are all informed by the work of our predecessors and I am interested in seeing myself through their eyes. The series not only tests my conceptual ideas of who I am but also my technical abilities with the paint. This is an ongoing project that will be updated regularly.
